Meet and Greet- AM
Meet and greet children and the school staff when they arrive at school. Help assist with the morning breakfast and/or monitor entrances
Lunch Pals
Make random visits with the children during their lunch times. Usually there is a 30 minute period per grade level. This is a "come when you can" activity.
Lunch Buddies (Noisette Foundation Staff Will Provide Training)
Lunch Buddies are a one-on-one relationship with a child during their lunch times. These are regularly scheduled visits and based on commitment. School staff will make matches and assignments for Lunch Buddies. Noisette Foundation staff will provide various trainings and support of the Lunch Buddies Program.
Meet and Greet- PM
Meet and greet children and the school staff as they leave classrooms to go home. Assist school staff and children in boarding buses and seeing walkers off the school property safely.
Good Neighbor Presentations
(BOWs Staff will serve as your event planner)
Schedule a Good Neighbor Presentation at the participating schools. This presentation could be centered around subjects such as:
Good Character Traits * Share Pictures of Your United States Travel * Share Experiences of Your World Travel
Fun Trivia for Kids * Share Family Heirlooms * SC History and many more subjects
Share the history of your family * Share your experiences and those of family members who serviced in the military * Show collections from family history about service in previous wars or other times in US and World History * (Your ideas of being a "good neighbor" are welcomed)
Mentoring
Mentoring is a one-on-one relationship with a child. The relationship is built on regularly scheduled visits and based on commitment. School staff will make matches and assignments for mentoring.
Tutoring
Tutoring to help students with academic skills can be planned by the teachers and staff at the school. They will identify the students who need the assistance.
Media Specialist/Library
Read books to the children or help assist the media specialist during the school day.
