  • Charleston County Human Services Commission (Program to serve families to aid in eradicating poverty and helping people live better lives. Youth Programs serve children with activities that enhance learning, develop social skills and community involvement)

  • Charleston County School District No Child Left Behind Title I -Parenting & Family Literacy (CCSD Office to Oversee the Federal Requirements of NCLB for Parent Involvement)

  • College of Charleston Upward Bound (Support families to develop a first generation college student)

  • Dorchester Rd. Regional Library (Literacy Resources and Program Activities to support parents and their children)

  • Foster Grandparents Program (Granted Program supported by Trident United Way Senior Citizens over the age of 60 are assigned to work with children at neighborhood schools)

  • GEAR UP (SC Chamber of Commerce - SC Commission on Higher Education Tracking 8th Graders thru High School to College)

  • My Sisters House (Support for Mothers and their children who experience Domestic Violence)

  • Parents Anonymous (National organization sponsoring parent support groups and training)

  • PTA (Parents and teachers organization to support activities to benefit schools)

  • Trident Literacy Association (Parents and other adults are offered services to improve reading, writing and reasoning and life skills)

Members of the Good Neighbors Brigade are committed to helping parents in the Trident County Areas of South Carolina. Our collective efforts and collective resources can offer to parents information needed to make wise decisions about their children's academic needs and goals for a brighter future.
